Contract Audit

A contract Audit is an examination of documents to verify that the builder have complied with requirements or standards set out in the contract. Contract audits can also be used to determine whether the builder is meeting their contractual obligation. Over the years many builders are using “performance solutions” in some of the aspects of building.

These “performance solutions” are a step away from Australian Standards and often used for cost cutting. Whilst “Performance Solutions” can be used when building often the homeowner is unaware. It has been argued that some “performance Solutions” are questioning the integrity of the structure of a home and although cheaper initially for the homeowner these practices could potentially cause costly problems long term.

The purpose of the audit is to identify these areas of non-transparency and foster healthy educated conversations which allow are homeowner to make a fully informed decision.
